Shannon Doran

My name is Shannon Doran and I am 22 years old. Photography is my passion; my never-ending love. Capturing pictures of people, animals, or landscapes is where my heart lies but currently my paying job is at Sears taking family portraits. Traveling to find that perfect picture always gives me pleasure. I have been a photographer for almost three years now, spending most of that time in Germany working for Fuji. During this time I also freelanced for Spangdahlem Air Force Base taking pictures for various projects; the base cookbook cover for example.

Growing up I had always loved having a camera in hand, capturing memories. I finally decided, after a trip to Paris when I was about fifteen, that I wanted to become a professional photographer. That dream was met soon after moving for the first time from Shepherdsville, KY to Germany. Two years of traveling Europe I had tons of photos and memories but was eager to come home. Born and raised in Kentucky, I wanted to return to my roots and pursue my dream where my heart lies. So, in August 2005 I picked up and moved back to Shepherdsville. I would love to do freelance projects here as well but my final goal is to own my own studio.
